I am, Judith Ann Kirk, Professional Organizer and if you have any questions or concerns please fill in the email request form below.
I began my organizing career in 1994 after more than 20 years working in the corporate and medical fields. I now enjoy Emeritus status in the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO), although I am still very active in my local chapter – NAPO-CT.
Through my business, Organizing Resources, I work with individuals who are eager to make changes in their life, personally and professionally. My philosophy is based on simplification first, then organization. At this time in my career I mainly specialize in paper management, time management and teaching the integrative components of Microsoft Outlook. I also mentor organizers who are interested in obtaining and maintaining a viable business and who have concerns about setting an appropriate fee schedule, eliminating the hourly rate concept and charging for projects or sessions.
For four years, I was a member of the NAPO Conference Programming Committee to insure that new organizers were offered workshops on business techniques as well as organizing skills. I have presented my Setting Fees Workshop at NAPO Conferences, POC Conferences in Toronto, and a variety of chapter professional development seminars around the country.
I am the founder of the Connecticut Organizer’s Informal Group that became a NAPO chapter in 2003 and have held multiple leadership positions on the Chapter Board of Directors. On the national level, I served on the Membership Committee, Continuing Education Committee and National Golden Circle Chair.
Through every turn in my life, I have learned that being a lifelong student opens the door of possibilities. Words of advice: Never stop learning and always carry pen and paper for moments of inspiration.
